Driffield – also sometimes known as ‘Great Driffield’ – is a historic market town which is of Anglo-Saxon origin and is first mentioned in the Domesday Book as far back as 1086. While this certainly adds to the town’s charm, it’s still a vibrant and lively place with a lot of character and plenty to do.

There are a wealth of amenities including a small community hospital, police, fire and ambulance services and a variety of excellent state schools for all ages. In addition to the historic sites including All Saints’ Parish Church and the remnants of Driffield Castle, the town has a rich farming heritage and holds the annual ‘Driffield Show’ – the country’s biggest agricultural show.
