About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Marketing to join a friendly team working in our Head Office and based at our office in Bedford on an 8 month fixed term contract.  The purpose of the role will include;
  • Implement the national marketing and communication strategy
  • Lead the national marketing and communication function, developing and implementing best in class marketing, in line with brand guidelines practices
  • Lead the creation of best-in-class strategic three-month rolling marketing activity in consultation with regional sales directors, sales managers and external agencies
  • Utilise market data and insights including marketing segmentation to develop site specific marketing plans to time and budget and in consultation with sales teams, suppliers and other key stakeholders
  • Utilise external and internal data sources to analyse, monitor and measure the performance of all campaigns, reporting on overall divisional performance and driving continuous improvement
  • Maximise website effectiveness by driving continuous improvement and delivering new/improved functionality
  • Lead the delivery of first-class social media, digital and CRM campaigns analysing performance and driving continuous improvement
  • Manage, monitor and report on the national marketing budget
  • Ensure regional marketing is aligned to group activity and delivered with consistency of message and adherence to group guidelines, systems and processes
  • Oversee monthly marketing meetings and participate in regional marketing meetings/calls
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of site marketing presentation and show home launches
  • Proactively visit developments to support sales delivery and where needed assess performance

About You

  • Someone who is educated to degree level preferably in Marketing or related subject and able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the principles of Marketing
  • Previous experience in a B2C Marketing role and ideally with people management experience
  • Experience of campaign planning and working across a range of channels including digital and more traditional offline channels
  • The ability to manage multiple agencies and stakeholders
  • Highly pro-active with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
  • High level of IT literacy, strong excel skills and the ability to learn a range of different IT systems
  • High level of attention to detail and a strong customer focus
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to use data to drive continuous improvement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative
  • Highly collaborative individual with willingness to share and learn from others
