Celebrating Potton's Heritage Through Art

Tilia Homes has unveiled a unique collection of bespoke sculptures in Potton, celebrating the town's rich rural heritage and creating a lasting landmark for the local community.

Created by local artist Paul Pipworth, the installation includes a striking life-sized Shire horse sculpture inspired by Bedfordshire's agricultural history and Paul's own family connections to farming. The sculpture features engraved text celebrating the strength, beauty and hard work that shaped generations of rural life.

Alongside the horse, visitors can discover a series of engraved stone apples featuring references to local culture and history, including the famous Bedfordshire Clanger. Together, the artworks create a mini heritage trail for residents and visitors to explore.

The project reflects Tilia Homes' commitment to celebrating the character and history of the communities in which it builds, while creating meaningful spaces that can be enjoyed by current and future generations.

The sculptures are open for public viewing at Tall Trees, just a short walk from Potton Market Square, offering a unique opportunity to discover and celebrate the town's heritage.
