Chairman of Abbas and Templecombe Parish Council cuts ribbon at Knights Meadow development

The Templecombe community came together recently for the unveiling of the Tilia Homes’ brand new Knights Meadow development, on Slades Hill.

Chairman of the Abbas and Templecombe Parish Council, Robin Cave, cut the ribbon on the new marketing suite, as well as the four-bedroom Selsden show home, before taking a tour of the development thus far and hearing from guests on what life will be like living at Knights Meadow.

Tilia Homes Western has focused on the local community since build commenced earlier in the year, having made significant contributions toward Templecombe infrastructure and facilities, including more than £100,000 toward youth and offsite play areas, £450,000 towards pre-school and primary education, as well as almost £15,000 toward public transport.

Emma Cotterill, Sales and Marketing Director for Tilia Homes Western, comments: “This is the moment we’ve been waiting for – opening the doors to Knights Meadow, a development we’re very proud of and have exciting plans for. Cutting the ribbon on the show home at the same time is an extra special milestone as it gives everybody an opportunity to really envisage what life could be like living at the development.

“We deliberately went with a countryside theme in the property as it captures the heart of the Somerset scenery and surrounding area, and to have Chairman Cave as our guest was very special as it really demonstrates how quickly Knights Meadow has become a part of the local community and we look forward to welcoming many more visitors through its doors.”

Early celebrations took place at Abbas and Templecombe CE Primary School recently, where pupils got an important lesson in construction health and safety, as well as all about the property and construction sector, after a visit from Safety, Health and Environmental Manager, Richard Perry.

When complete, Knights Meadow will comprise of a collection of 70 three-, four- and five-bedroom homes nestled within the charming village of Templecombe, just off the A357. With a range of modern house types, including bungalows, set across a carefully-designed 0.5 acre plan, the picturesque development provides plenty of choice and inspiration.

Emma adds: “We would urge anyone interested to make an appointment and come and see Knights Meadow for themselves soon to avoid missing out on these already popular homes.”
