This phase of the development was at an
early stage in the build process, and therefore the fire fighters took the
opportunity to carry out some valued training in the first homes nearing
completion. Over a period of two hours, the crew undertook mind-mapping
exercises in one of our Palmerston homes. Blindfolded to simulate poor
visibility due to smoke, and with the use of breathing apparatus, the firefighters
had to blindly navigate the three-storey property and get their mock casualties
to safety outside.

comments: “Bourne Fire Station would like to thank Tilia Homes for this vital
opportunity. They provided a faultless training exercise that is rare to come
by. Crew members not only enjoyed this experience but also took some learning
points away that might help save a life or a home one day.”
Elsea Gardens is a stunning collection of new two, three and four
