After
moving from Sandy, Bedfordshire to South Africa at the age of 21 and then back
to the UK, Gail brought up her children in Northampton, before finally deciding
on Corby for her new home.
“I
knew from the moment I set eyes on the Palmerston at The Fairways, Priors Hall
Park, that I’d made the right decision,” Gail said.
Gail’s
search for a new home began in 2018, but it wasn’t an easy ride. The 56-year
old said: “Being close to nature has always been important to me, so I was very
lucky that the home I had in Northampton backed on to a wood, which my children
and I loved, with the opportunities to camp and climb trees. This influenced my
decision to move to Priors Hall Park as it’s very open, especially on the east
side, where I now live. And once the development is complete, I can hop on my
mountain bike and cycle to neighbouring areas like Weldon and Dene Park.”
Gail’s
decision to settle at Priors Hall Park was influenced by a friend who had moved
there and recommended it. “She bought a home and told me about the great value
for money here, compared to nearby Kettering,” Gail said.
Even
after settling on Priors Hall Park, Gail didn’t get to her Kier Living
Palmerston house type without her fair share of bad luck. “It’s been a long journey. A friend recommended
another developer, but the sale fell through and it’s safe to say, I wasn’t
happy.”
Then,
as a disappointed Gail was leaving Priors Hall Park, a moment of serendipity
struck.
“As
I was leaving the other developer’s site for the last time, I looked up and saw
the Kier Living flag waving proudly across the site. I thought to myself
‘there’s a new set of show homes there, so I may as well take a look’ and I was
impressed.”
“The
Kier Living team were brilliant and I bought a corner plot with plenty of
space, using Help to Buy. The customer service, in particular from Donna
Clorley in the sales office, was excellent
throughout.
This goes for the site manager as well, who’s immediately dealt with anything
I’ve brought up.”
Gail
couldn’t have been more pleased with her new home, especially when her brother,
a site manager for a developer elsewhere, paid her a visit just three days
after moving in. “After looking around he told me he couldn’t believe the
quality and standard of finish throughout.”
