Two teams of volunteers from Kier Living Eastern recently embarked on a 16-mile trek up the Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons and a 24-mile trek of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, for their chosen charity The British Heart Foundation.
Six enthusiastic members of the Land & Planning team trekked for eight hours up the challenging mountain before reaching its summit, whilst four members of the Commercial team took on the renowned Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, collectively reaching the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in 11 hours. Altogether, both teams raised an impressive £3,440.
Kier Living Managing Director, Nick Moore, said: “We are very proud of what both teams have accomplished. The commitment and enthusiasm they showed throughout makes me personally proud to call them all Kier Living employees – they kept their spirits high every step of the way, remaining inspired by those we’re supporting.
“We are extremely grateful to all those who have donated so far. The British Heart Foundation is a wonderful charity that’s making strides each and every day, and the support from organisations like us helps with the creation of treatments and research for cures. Every penny really does help.”
