Mayor launches new show home at Elsea Gardens

The Mayor of Bourne, Councillor Paul Fellows, has officially launched the new showhome at Tilia Homes’ Elsea Gardens development in the town.

The VIP launch and ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of the professionally-styled Eversden show home, giving potential house buyers the first opportunity to see the design and finish of properties on the new development.

Elsea Gardens is a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes located just two miles outside of Bourne town centre. A range of properties are currently available priced from £239,995 to £375,000. All are traditional in design and finish in keeping with the local area.

The Eversden show home is a superb example of the family properties currently available at Elsea Gardens. The property features a spacious lounge, generous open plan kitchen and dining area and double doors leading to the rear garden. On the ground floor is also a utility room, a downstairs cloakroom and a separate study. Upstairs are four well-proportioned bedrooms, one with en-suite, and the family bathroom.

Interior designer Edward Thomas took inspiration from the surrounding countryside using blues and greens traditionally associated with nature but adding punchier colours such as amber and ochre for warmth and playfulness. Botanical print wallpaper and artwork features throughout the home, along with plenty of greenery and house plants to bring the outdoors in.

David Thomas, sales and marketing director for Tilia Homes Eastern, comments: “We were delighted to have Councillor Paul Fellows visit Elsea Gardens to perform the official opening of the Eversden show home. The development has been incredibly popular to date, with a number of properties purchased off -plan, and we’re expecting even more interest now that buyers are able to see for themselves the quality of the homes we are building here. The Eversden show home is now open to the public and provides plenty of interior design inspiration for would-be homeowners.

“We have had a long-standing presence in Bourne and have been building new homes here for many years. Elsea Gardens is our final development and the last chance to purchase a Tilia home in the town.”

Bourne is a bustling market town offering a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and sport and leisure facilities. Supermarkets such as Lidl, Tesco and Co-op can all be found less than a mile from the development. There is a good choice of education locally, from preschool to college level, and there is a selection of both primary and secondary schools within a five-minute drive of Elsea Gardens. These include Bourne Elsea Park C of E Primary Academy, Bourne Grammar School and Bourne Academy School.

The development is also well located for A1 and A1M and offers easy access to Peterborough.
