Tilia Homes unveils £2.5m investment in local infrastructure to celebrate launch of Norfolk-inspired

Community-focused Tilia Homes Eastern has today revealed it is committed to investing more than £2.5m towards local infrastructure and facilities in the Sprowston and surrounding Norfolk communities

The announcement follows the unveiling of the developer’s new show home at its flagship Furlong Heath scheme, on Salhouse Road. A further £390,000 has been pledged towards off site sports provisions to promote health and wellbeing for all generations in the local area.

David Thomas, Regional Sales and Marketing Director at Tilia Homes Eastern, comments: “We’re proud to be not only building much-needed new homes in beautiful Sprowston, but to commit to the ongoing enhancement of the infrastructure and facilities in the areas in which we build. These funds, we hope, will make a real difference to the ongoing plans for the area and look forward to seeing these come to fruition.

“It’s so important that our developments and homes embody what’s important to the local community and reflect its proud heritage, and the properties and landscaping at Furlong Heath is no different.”

The four-bedroom Selsdon show home, designed by Edward Thomas Interiors, has been inspired by the beautiful Norfolk countryside as well as it’s proud equestrian roots, and offers a spacious, open-plan downstairs, complete with study, utility and double patio doors leading out onto the professionally landscaped gardens. Upstairs, meanwhile, sits four bedrooms, two of which with their own en-suites.

The downstairs study and guest bedrooms feature panelling or natural wood inspired by the iconic woodland and nature surrounding the local area. The children’s bedrooms, meanwhile, have drawn inspiration from the Norfolk countryside with one featuring an equestrian theme inspired by the old Norwich Racecourse, on which Furlong Heath is now built, as well as Fakenham Racecourse.

David adds: “Sprowston and Norfolk are at the very heart of countryside woodlands and peaceful village living and so we’ve really been spoiled for choice when making Furlong Heath reflect the true sense of the area. Unveiling our show homes is always a milestone moment for us as it allows us to give prospective homeowners the opportunity to really see themselves living at the development and seeing how spacious and comfortable our homes are.

“With lots of people already calling Furlong Heath home, we’ve no doubt that a trip to our Selsdon show home will be the deciding factor for those who want to see and experience the quality Tilia Homes has to offer.”

Surrounded by open, green space and lined with trees, Furlong Heath comprises of 251 three- and four-bedroom homes with prices ranging from £330,000. Ideal for professional seeking strong commuter links, as well as upsizers and growing families alike, Furlong Heath boasts convenient travel connections and facilities on site.

Norwich Train Station is just ten minutes away from the development with regular services to London via Cambridge, or Cromer in under an hour. The A47 also offers easy routes to Great Yarmouth in 40 minutes.

Furlong Heath also has a children’s play area situated on the development and is in close proximity to plenty of great schools ranging from pre-school to university level education, including Falcon Junior School, Sprowston Academy. All provide an attractive option for families looking for a short commute to schools in the morning, without compromising on the level of education.
