Works commence at Tilia Homes’ 182-home Brook Manor development in Alphington Exeter

Tilia Homes Western has today announced works have now commenced at Brook Manor, in Alphington Exeter

The 182-home development is a range of one- to four-bedroom new-build houses and will be available to prospective buyers later in the year.

Nestled in the quiet Exeter suburb of Alphington, the community and conservation-conscious housebuilder has drawn inspiration from nature in the development's design, seeing most properties feature solar panels, and bird and bat boxes installed across the development.

Tilia Homes will not only bring its fabric-first approach to responsible building to the prime location close to Exeter but has ensured there is a provision of affordable homes, ensuring the development meets the growing demand for energy-efficient homes from the wide range of buyers on the property ladder.

As part of its investment in the local area and infrastructure, Tilia Homes has pledged more than £2.6m in investment towards local education and healthcare facilities, as well as road traffic management, including a pedestrian and cyclist bridge.

Emma Cotterill, Sales and Marketing Director for Tilia Homes Western, comments: “We’re very much looking forward to seeing the works progress at Brook Manor and opening the doors to the development very soon.

“We understand that we’re building more than just properties in Alphington, but creating homes where people can make memories and start the next chapter of their lives, which is why we place a great emphasis on investing in the areas in which we build.

“We’re especially excited to bring elements of nature, conservation, and wellness to Brook Manor, with a play area for children and families to enjoy, as well as green open spaces and bat and bird boxes, to ensure the rural feel of the village is felt on the stylish, energy-efficient development.”

The development’s proximity to Alphington Primary School, as well as being close to Alphington Grammar School make it ideally suited for younger family members. With convenient commuter links just a short distance from Brook Manor, meanwhile, the development is a great escape to the country from the hectic working week. Bristol is accessible via train within an hour and London within two.
