Works commence at Tilia Homes’ Forest Edge, Chesterfield

Tilia Homes Central has announced works have commenced at its eagerly anticipated development, Forest Edge, in Ashgate, near Chesterfield.

The development, on Linacre Road, will feature a range of more than 300 properties in a range of two- to five-bedroom homes, including a provision of affordable properties.

The community-conscious homebuilder has pledged to invest nearly £600,000 towards local infrastructure and leisure facilities, including £360,000 towards a biodiversity scheme to support natural habitats and £145,000 towards healthcare provisions.

A further £70,000 has been earmarked to create a new cycle and pedestrian pathway and £24,000 towards bus stop provisions in a bid to promote ecological and healthy transport alternatives in the area.

Lizzie Burda, Sales and Marketing Director for Tilia Homes Central, comments: “Forest Edge is already gaining a lot of attention from prospective buyers and we’re all very excited for works to commence and be one step closer to opening the doors in just a few short months.

“With great accessibility to amenities including schools, restaurants and shops, not to mention being in the heart of the Peak District, as well as boasting convenient commuter links, Forest Edge is the perfect location for first-time buyers, professionals and families looking for their forever homes.”

Tilia Homes Central will make positive contributions and impact to the local conversation efforts, with more than 40 per cent of the development retained and enhanced as useable green space, including the formation of a 400m open watercourse running the length of the development.

Furthermore, the developer will also create a native fruit tree orchard to attract and protect natural wildlife, all while being adjacent to the Ashgate Wildlife Plantation.

“We understand we’re building more than just homes, but making places and communities that our homeowners are proud to make memories, which is why we’re creating a development with a beautiful balance of open spaces, planting new trees in a nod to Forest Edge’s name, as well as a cycle track to promote wellness, fitness and for everyone to enjoy the local surroundings,” continues Lizzie.

“We’re proud of the works already taking place at Forest Edge and recommend anyone interested in being the first to find out more to visit our website and register their details.”
