Far enough away to avoid the rush – but close enough for convenience - is the Leicester Western Bypass. From here you’ll be on the A6, the A46 and the M1 in no time, with the check-in desks at East Midlands Airport accessible in less than half an hour.

Everyday shopping takes place at Beaumont Shopping Centre - a seven minute drive from Verdant Rise. Up to four hours of free parking is ample time to explore the High Street brands, complete a supermarket shop and stop for coffee or cake at one of the cafés.

You can turn a pure retail experience into an all-day adventure in Leicester city centre. The anchor facility is Highcross, where leading brands (think Apple, Jo Malone and John Lewis) sit side-by-side with a cinema, indoor bouldering centre, mini golf and a gym. If your preference is boutique or vintage browsing, head to The Old Town for The Lanes, St Martins Square, the Arcades and Leicester Market.
