Discerning home buyers are being urged to snap up a piece of history at Hawkhead Village in Paisley, where just one apartment in the current phase remains available.

Award-winning Paisley development continues apace

The Kier Living Caledonia development blends 300 new and refurbished homes on the site of the derelict district hospital, keeping the original art deco features created by renowned Scottish artist Thomas Smith Tait.

The current phase, The Cubicle Building, has seen the conversion of a former containment ward into 12 one and two bedroom luxury apartments.

Sales and marketing director David Thomas explained that the only remaining property is a two bedroom duplex priced at £173,995. He said: “When the first homes in this iconic building were released, they sold out within weeks. We’re expecting the same for this striking duplex.”

Meanwhile, Kier has unveiled computer generated images of the next two phases to be released at Hawkhead Village. The one and two bedroom apartments in these eye-catching buildings will be placed on the market in the coming weeks. David said: “During our conversion works, we have been careful to keep the integrity, style and history of the former hospital. We are very proud of what we have achieved.”

He added: “We would urge interested parties to visit our show home in The Cubicle Building to get a feel for the high quality specification, design and finish that has been employed through all the homes at Hawkhead Village.”

As well as the converted homes, Kier is building spacious two bedroom apartments and attractive three bedroom terraced houses. Apartments start at £128,995, with houses priced from £165,995, meaning there is a home for everyone on offer.

The development is award-winning, having receiving Show Home of the Year in the Scottish Home Awards 2015; it also triumphed in the Residential award at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Awards in the same year.
