Easingwold is a fantastic touring centre and is known as the gateway to the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales, the resorts of Scarborough and Filey, and the historic Dinosaur Coast of Whitby.
There are plenty of convenience stores and many charming local retailers located throughout the town, meaning that you’ll find a great shopping experience within a few minutes of the development. If that’s not enough to convince you, then there’s also a weekly market held on 'the cobbles' in the Market Square every Friday.
Easingwold has a great choice of schools in the area. There is one primary school in the town centre with another six primary schools within a five mile radius. There’s an excellent choice of secondary schools in the area too, with Outwood Academy Easingwold right on the doorstep and world-renowned schools like Queen Ethelburga’s College and Ampleforth College within 10 miles of the town.
For sports enthusiasts, the town is also home to Easingwold Cricket Club, Easingwold Golf Club and Easingwold Town AFC, who were founded in 1892. The Galtres Centre also provides activities including badminton, tennis, netball and gymnastics.
Although the town offers great transport links, Easingwold itself has so much to offer! The long country lanes, bridleways and range of footpaths are a paradise for walkers of all ages and abilities. You could even spend an afternoon exploring the beautiful Hambleton Hills to take in the breathtaking views of the forests and lakes!
