Tilia Homes breaks ground on Kings Park development

Tilia Homes has begun construction work at its new Kings Park development in Cottenham, Cambridgeshire and celebrated the start of the new site with a ground-breaking ceremony.

Tilia Homes was granted approval for the site by South Cambridgeshire District Council in November 2021 and once complete, the development will be home to 140 properties with a range of two, three, four and five bedrooms – with the marketing suite due to open Spring 2023. As well as that, 40% of the properties are available for affordable rent, making the development perfect for a wide range of purchasers.

Tilia Homes’ new site was visited by Area Sales Manager Lucy Lee, Site Manager Ian Carter and Caroline Robinson, Head of Marketing, where they officially broke ground and began work on Kings Park, marking a significant milestone for the development.

Kings Park is perfectly placed close to the A14 and A10, with journeys into the centre of Cambridge taking just a 25-minute drive. The site encompasses 36 acres of land, with local school Cottenham Primary School to the north and open countryside views to the west.

David Thomas, Sales and Marketing Director at Tilia Homes Eastern, comments: “We’re so pleased to have commenced works at our new Kings Park development with construction of the homes now well underway.

“All of us at Tilia Homes are excited to watch this site grow and to bring much-needed homes to this desirable village location. Cottenham has a lot to offer its residents, with good schooling options (from pre-school to college level education) alongside plenty of community groups and amenities to explore. We are looking forward to welcoming interested house buyers to the site later in the year.”
