Snowdon Grange is a short walk into the town centre of Chard where there is everything you’d expect; schools, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. The larger town of Yeovil is 15 miles away by road. 

Chard reservoir is a natural reserve, it offers wonderful seasonal walks, fishing (where permitted) and birdwatching.

Nestled in the footholds of Winsham Vale, and only three miles from Snowdon Grange, you’ll find the utterly captivating
Forde Abbey House and Gardens.

The gardens offer an ever-changing tapestry of colour throughout the seasons, with carpets of snowdrops in February followed by swathes of crocus and daffodils, a tulip display that heralds the start of Spring and wild flower meadows and herbaceous borders that follow on in Summer. 

The kitchen garden mixes vegetables with cut flowers, and provide daily inspiration for home cooked seasonal fare in the tearooms.
