Tilia Homes Central celebrates New Year with community charity contributions

Tilia Homes Central has started the New Year by donating to worthy causes close to its newly-launched Montgomery Park development, in Market Drayton.

As part of its community partnership with Councillor Mark Whittle, who cut the ribbon to officially open the development last month, Tilia Homes has made a contribution to the Market Drayton Hard of Hearing Club. The organisation supports people across the region with monthly meetings, outings and gatherings.

Tilia Homes has also donated to its charity partner, Emmaus, to help those who need shelter, food and support during the bitterly cold winter months. The homebuilder has pledged to donate £40,000 to the charity and has already raised more than £18,000.

Lizzie Burda, Sales and Marketing Director for Tilia Homes Central, comments: “Such an important part of what we do when we’re building homes is to make sure we’re giving back to the causes and organisations that support so many within the communities in which we build.

“Both Emmaus and The Market Drayton Hard of Hearing Club are causes close to our hearts here at Tilia Homes and it’s a pleasure to start the new year by making donations we know will benefit the people of Market Drayton.”

The contributions are the latest milestone for the newly-opened Montgomery Place.

When complete, the development will see a range of more than 100 three- and four-bedroom properties available to buyers at every stage on the property ladder. There will also be a children’s play area and pockets of green open space spanning the spacious 23-acre development.

As part of Tilia Homes’ ongoing commitment to the local community it has pledged nearly £1.3m to Market Drayton Council to support local wildlife, traffic, and infrastructure in the local area.

The funding will see new pedestrian, cyclist and road routes in the local area to improve traffic management around Montgomery Place, as well as protecting local wildlife with buffer zones along the railway and the Stych Brook watercourse.
