Best show home in Scotland
Andrew Cunningham, director of award sponsors Ross and Liddell, commented: “Congratulations must go to our 22 winners, and the other 25 finalists, for their excellent work in delivering much-needed housing to communities across Scotland. Ross and Liddell are honoured to support the Home Awards programme which helps recognise, the effort, and achievements of those operating across the Scottish housing sector. We wish all the Scottish Home Awards winners continued success in the years ahead.”

The awards are operated in support of ‘It’s Good 2 Give’, a small charity with big ambitions to build The Ripple Retreat a luxury residential retreat on the shores of Loch Venacher in the Trossachs National Park. The property will be gifted for short stay visits to young cancer patients and their families.

David Thomas, Kier Living Eastern sales and marketing director, said: “We are delighted that
Hawkhead Village has been recognised in these prestigious industry awards for Scotland. It acknowledges that we use the best design and quality to create affordable, desirable and inspirational homes.”

The Arrochar show home was specifically designed for Hawkhead Village with retained elements of the original art deco style used at the site by world-famous Scottish artist Thomas Smith Tait. The show home was decorated in art deco style using colours and furniture designs popular during the period.

Jim Collins, Kier Living Caledonia general manager commented: “We are extremely proud of the work Kier Living is doing providing first-class homes in Scotland and for one of our sites to win an award like this is fantastic. It is a real boost for the whole team to have our work commended Hawkhead Village has already been named the Best Residential Development in Scotland in the 2015 RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Awards.

Hawkhead Village has created an exciting new community for Paisley. It complements a £50 million renovation for the town, which is walking distance away with its museums, galleries, parks and Victorian and Edwardian architecture.
